The short version
Promote Seen does not collect personal information itself. There are no sign-up forms asking for your details, no newsletter and no payment system. We never see your photos — you paste them into ChatGPT, Gemini or another AI tool, not into our site.
The only data connected to the site is:
- what Google collects through Google Analytics and Google AdSense — which we see only as anonymous, combined reports, never as information about you personally;
- the email address attached to an account, if you choose to create one;
- anything you write to us by email.
This policy explains each of those, who can see the data and how you can control it. It applies to promoteseen.com and every page and service we run under the Promote Seen name, and it is written to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for overseas visitors, the GDPR and similar laws.
1. What data exists and who holds it
Collected by Google, not by us
When you visit the site, Google Analytics and Google AdSense run in your browser and collect:
- pages you visit, prompts you copy, links you click, how long you stay and which site you came from;
- your browser, operating system, screen size, language and approximate location (city or region) worked out from your IP address;
- cookies and similar identifiers placed in your browser by Google.
This data goes to Google's servers, not ours. We receive only aggregated reports — for example, "this prompt was copied 400 times this week" or "60% of visitors use a phone". We cannot see who any individual visitor is, and Google does not give us names, email addresses, IP addresses or browsing histories.
The little we hold ourselves
- Account email and name — only if you create an account. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to run your account.
- Emails you send us — including takedown requests and privacy requests, together with your email address.
What we never collect
- Your photos or videos, or the images and videos you generate. They never pass through our servers.
- Payment or card details. The site is free and has no checkout.
- Government IDs, biometric data, health data or any other sensitive category of personal data.
2. Why the data is used
| Purpose | Data | Who uses it |
|---|---|---|
| See which prompts and pages are popular so we can improve them | Aggregated Google Analytics reports | Us |
| Show ads that keep the site free | Cookies and device data | Google and its ad partners |
| Run your account and let you sign in | Account email and name | Us |
| Reply to your messages and handle complaints | Emails you send | Us |
| Detect bots, abuse and ad fraud | Analytics and device data | Google, and us through its reports |
| Comply with the law | Any of the above | Us, if legally required |
We do not sell any data, do not send marketing emails, and do not make automated decisions about you.
3. Cookies, Google Analytics and Google AdSense
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. Three kinds are used on the site:
- Essential — keep you signed in and remember your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — set by Google Analytics to measure how the site is used.
- Advertising — set by Google AdSense and its partners to show and measure ads.
Google Analytics. Google Analytics reports how visitors use the site. IP addresses are anonymised and we never link reports to a named person. How Google handles this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy. To block Google Analytics on every website, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Google AdSense. Ads on the site are served by Google. Google and its advertising partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to show you ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure whether ads are seen or clicked. To manage this:
- turn off personalised ads at Google Ads Settings;
- opt out of other ad partners at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu;
- use the cookie banner on our site, which lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies before they are set.
Your choices. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in from working. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal where our consent tool supports it.
4. Who else sees data
- Google — for analytics, advertising and sign-in, as described above.
- Hosting and security providers — the companies that host the site, deliver it through a content delivery network and block attacks. They process data only on our instructions.
- Authorities — if a law, court order or government request requires it, or to protect the safety of Promote Seen, our users or the public.
- A new owner — if Promote Seen is sold or merged, account data may pass to the new owner under the same protections.
No one receives your data for their own marketing.
5. Where data is stored
Promote Seen is based in India. Google and our hosting providers may store data in India, the United States, the European Union or other countries. Where data leaves your country we rely on the safeguards the law allows, such as standard contractual clauses for EU and UK data.
6. How long data is kept
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Google Analytics and AdSense data | Held by Google under its own retention settings; we keep only aggregated reports |
| Account email and name | Until you delete your account (see below) |
| Emails you send us | Up to 3 years, in case of a dispute |
| Server and security logs | Up to 90 days |
Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing [email protected]. Your account is deactivated immediately and enters a 30-day recovery period. If you sign in during those 30 days, it is restored. After 30 days your account and its data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
We may keep data longer only if the law requires it or it is needed to resolve a legal claim.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your account and data;
- withdraw consent you gave earlier, such as for cookies;
- restrict or object to a particular use of your data;
- nominate someone to act for you if you are unable to.
Email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request". We will confirm your identity, reply within 30 days and never charge for a reasonable request. Because we hold so little, most requests are simple. Data collected by Google Analytics and AdSense is controlled by Google, so requests about that data go through the Google links in Section 3.
If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, if you are in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.
8. Under-18s
The site is for adults. We do not knowingly hold data about anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
9. How data is protected
Every page uses HTTPS encryption, we limit who can access account data, and we keep our software and hosting up to date. No website is completely secure, so we cannot promise data will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects your account we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
10. Links to other sites
The site links to AI tools, advertisers and other websites. Once you leave promoteseen.com their privacy policies apply, not ours. In particular, any photo you upload to ChatGPT, Gemini or another AI tool is handled under that provider's policy, which may allow it to use the photo to train its models. Read their policy before uploading.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices or the law change, and update the effective date at the top. For important changes we will show a notice on the site.
